My name is Rohini. I am a vegetarian living and working in Toronto. I love film, music and food and especially love going out to eat food. Toronto’s food scene is rapidly growing and features an abundance of delectable cuisines. I have had the pleasure of dining in many restaurants within the city and want to use this blog as a way to share my experiences with fellow Veg Heads (including vegetarians, vegans and veggie loving meat eaters).
Most of my friends and family are omnivores so I rarely frequent vegetarian or vegan only restaurants. Instead, I am always grateful to find restaurants, fast food spots, food trucks, and other eateries that include delicious vegetarian friendly options on their menus. My hope is that this blog sparks a conversation around good veggie eats in TO and helps meat eaters expand their knowledge on vegetarianism and veganism – fun fact: we aren’t all counter-culture anemic food shamers who eat boring tasteless meals and obsess about healthy living.
Welcome to The Grateful Veg, a blog dedicated to my search for vegetarian eats in an overwhelmingly not so vegetarian-friendly world.
Note: The Grateful Veg is not a space to persuade readers to adopt a vegetarian lifestyle. This blog is simply a place for me to write about my adventures and educate readers on vegetarianism. I believe dietary preference is a personal choice and my choice just happens to be vegetarianism. This is a judgement-free zone!
Until next time,
P.S. I love hummus at BBQs.
